Ocean freight with Hapag-Lloyd is the largest single undisclosed transport emission here.

The South America to North America lanes carry real carbon that has never been reported at product level.

Aluminium can production is the second gap. Smelting is one of the most energy-intensive industrial processes there is.

Novelis supplies sheet to Ball Corporation, and neither has shared detailed figures for this product line.

Both gaps are named on the Guayakí report rather than smoothed over, so a buyer knows which part of the number is measured and which part is estimated.
