What we do
A customer sent you a form. We help you fill it out.
- Upload the form they asked you to fill out. We work out what it is actually asking.
- We check it against what your company has already published
- You get back: which questions you can answer today, which are open, and what closes each one
- Some answers sit with your own suppliers — one form from your buyer becomes a few small asks of them. We say which, draft each request, and keep track of the chain.
- A sorted read of the form, free
- Or the full Where you stand report — $149, reserved here and sent within one working day
Getting data from your suppliers is easy with our forms.
- Each supplier gets a private link, addressed to them by name
- They open it on a phone, photograph a certificate or a bill, press send
- No account for them, no password, no spreadsheet
- We read the figures off the document and file them with the date and source
- Their answers live here from then on — the next form that asks the same question is already half-answered, for you and for them
- We nudge the ones who go quiet, so you do not have to
- One question, one document, photographed from a phone
- Every answer closes one of your open questions
- Supplier evidence — $99 a month, live on signup, cancel any month
We communicate your sustainability.
- We build you a page from your public record — filings, certifications, published commitments
- Six areas a retail buyer asks about, and what you can show in each
- The source sits under every line, so a buyer can check it themselves
- You review it and correct anything we got wrong
- It stays current as new documents come in
- One permanent address you can send a buyer, a bank or an investor
- It opens without an account, on any device
- The first version is free, and takes 5 business days
Which rules reach you, and by which date.
The threshold names companies over $1B. The questionnaire reaches everyone who sells to one. The question is not whether, it is which date and which form.
- 5 questions, no account
- You find out whether California’s climate laws reach you directly
- And whether they reach you anyway, through a customer who is covered
- Being under the revenue threshold does not mean you are out of it
- A plain answer, not a maybe
- The dates that actually apply to your situation
- Free, and we ask you for nothing to see it
Some people come to us to read a company rather than to be read.
A supplier, a competitor, a company somebody is about to invest in. We read a company’s visible, verifiable sustainability.
That is its own section, priced on its own, and it is not what the four above are for.
The 11 things a buyer’s form asks about — all of them.
None of this is exotic. Every one is a document that already exists somewhere — the work is knowing where, and we do that part with you.
Four you can answer from your own files today:
- Scope 1 emissions — the fuel you burn yourself: vans, boilers
- Scope 2 emissions — the electricity you buy
- Water use — how much you draw in a year, and from where
- Certifications — your badges, and whether they are current
Five arrive as one photographed document each, from your suppliers:
- Your Tier 1 supplier list — everyone you buy from directly
- Scope 3, purchased goods — what your suppliers emit making your ingredients
- Packaging recycled content — how much of your packaging was already used once
- A labor audit on file — someone checked hours, pay and safety at a site
- Your Tier 2 supplier list — who your suppliers buy from
Two you publish yourself, once the rest is in place:
- Scope 3, logistics — the freight moving your goods around
- A published reduction target — a number you have committed to in public
That is the whole list: four from your own files, five from suppliers, two you publish when ready.
We set all of it up, track it, and keep it current. Watch it filled in on a real example.
However you start, it goes the same way
Built from what is already public. You are never handed a blank form.
Mostly by getting documents out of your suppliers. That is the slow part, and we run it.
Next time someone asks, it is a link you send, not a project you start.
What this is for
Reporting is the mechanism. Improvement is the point.
Where the record has a gap we name it and name what closes it, because the gap is where the work is.
Every document a supplier sends makes their footprint legible too, and that is the part that compounds.
What we do not do
Worth being straight about, so you know what you are buying.
- We do not audit you. An audit is a person visiting your site. We read records and collect documents.
- We do not certify anything. We assess the certifications other bodies have issued. We issue none.
- We do not file on your behalf. We assemble the package. Filing stays with you and your advisors.
The number is how progress gets measured. It is not the product.
What sits underneath it is where the work is, and that is what you act on. Four things follow from that, and all four are checkable.
- Every score shows its parts, in the same place. A company’s score sits in one card with the six areas it is made of, each drawn to what that company’s own public record supports. Nothing to scroll for.
- No band word. An adjective next to a number — committed, progressing, early stage — looks like the meaning and carries none, and it is absolute where the only honest reading is relative. What sits there instead is where the number falls among the records we can check.
- An area we could not read says so. It leaves the calculation rather than scoring zero. Not measured is not the same as measured badly, and one of those is a much worse thing to say about a company.
- Nothing about a score sits behind an email. The breakdown is the useful half, so the breakdown is the free half. If a number on this site is worth anything, the working behind it is on the same page.
